Photos remind people of the moments they have often forgotten. And as a skilled funeral photographer, I provide people who have attended the funeral of a loved one with a tangible and permanent memory of a day they do not want to forget.
I do this with powerful empathy, patience and an eye for detail. I am passionate about creating images of the moments at a funeral service that a person may have missed if they have gone into a daze due to grief. A visual ‘bereavement report’ helps people when they are processing the loss of a loved one and it can provide a meaningful contribution to personal memories in the form of a special reference work.
I am grateful to G-kracht for inviting me to talk about my passion for funeral photography in their magazine. G-kracht is published twice a year – on recyclable paper and also digitally – by Van Galen Design. By sharing ideas in stories, blogs and personal and business portraits, G-kracht hopes to inspire and connect entrepreneurs, organizations and others in the Groene Hart, and to celebrate their successes too.
